ADOPTION PROCESS AND FEES
Thinking about adding a new kitten / cat to your family? Animal Rescue and Care Network, Inc. is a great place to find one (or two) needy pets! Adopting from ARCN not only helps the pet you take home, but frees up space for another homeless pet, and it helps the community, too.
Things to Keep in Mind Animal Placement Policy and Procedures
The basic requirements for adoption from Animal Rescue and Care Network, Inc. are as follows:
You will be asked to complete an adoption application at our adoption fair.
You must be at least 21 years of age with positive proof of current residence (on a picture I.D.).
If you rent (house or apartment), permission from your landlord to have a pet on the premises.
Current Veterinarian.
It may be possible for you to be pre-approved via email to cut your wait time. Simply contact us and tell us who you are interested in and we will qualify you over e-mail. Our policy is to home deliver so we look forward to getting your new kitty over to you as quickly as possible.
Our sanctuary is open daily and house our adult cats. If you wish to visit our facility please contact us for an appointment. It’s a wonderful experience and the kitties are always happy to have visitors.
NOTE: Animal Rescue and Care Network, Inc. reserves the right to refuse adoptions.
Adoption Fees
Cat/Kitten: $75.00
Two Cats/Kittens: $120.00
Seniors and Special Needs: $50.00
We take cash and personal checks with positive I.D.
The above adoption fee includes:
First set of kitten vaccinations
FELV & FIV Test
Spay / Neuter
Flea Application
Deworming
A medical certificate will be provided to you for your files. Adoption Application attached. ARCN_adoption_application.doc
There are additional vaccinations required that will be at your expense. If your veterinarian diagnoses your pet with a serious health problem, you may return your adopted pet to us for an exchange or refund. However, if you do elect to keep and treat the pet, you will be responsible for the payment of all costs after the 30 day holding period. ARCN cannot reimburse you for any medical bills you incur after the trial process.
If you have any questions, please ask them during the adoption process. If for any reason you cannot keep your cat, please contact us immediately. We agree to accept the return of any cat to ARCN. Do not surrender the cat to an animal shelter or another rescue group for any reason.
