Charter
Animal Rescue and Care Network, Inc. is a Community
Animal Rescue Effort, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) all
volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing abused
and abandoned animals and promoting the humane
treatment of animals through public education.
Animal Rescue and Care Network, Inc., was formed to provide the best chance for life to animals in need.
Our Charter is to:
Provide better lives for animals through rescue and adoption efforts with multiple animal rescue groups. Our adoption process has evolved from many years of experience. The goal of our adoption counselors is to make a good match between animal and human. If we don't have a perfect match for you we network with other organizations to help find your perfect companion.
- Provide education services on spay/neuter and kindness
to animals.
Our programs include field trips to local
shelters and seminars at local schools to educate children
on kindness to animals. We also provide seminars on how
to trap, spay, and neuter in your neighborhood, how to
run your own Animal Rescue and Care Network, Inc. adoption
fair, and how to put together a fundraiser to help raise
money for the animals. We help enable you to make a difference.
- Provide shelter for abandoned and disgarded animals. Our sanctuary is a holding facility for adoptable, loving animals in addition to a special, tranquil permanent home for special needs and older animals who are terminally ill or very old. We are a no-kill organization.
Trap, Neuter, Return (TNR) to help control
feline overpopulation. The only solution to prevent cruel
overpopulation that condemns millions of animals a year
to be put to death in the United States is to spay and
neuter. Animal Rescue and Care Network spayed and neutered
over 70 feral cats in Santa Clara County alone in 2004.
Our goal is to double that number in 2005.
We are a proud member of the "No More Homeless Animals" movement sponsored by BEST FRIENDS. BEST FRIENDS is a sanctuary in the heart of Southern, Utah. On any given day, it provides refuge to about 1,500 dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, and other animals.
The mission of Best Friends is driven by the simple philosophy that kindness to animals helps build a better world for all of us.
