One of the wonderful things about rescue is providing a second chance for all the animals we take off the streets that have been discarded and abandoned. Every one of our kitties had no where to turn when we found them. No food, no shelter, unloved, and forgotten, with nothing but suffering and tragedy in their future.

But when you visit the Success Story section on our website, you can’t help but laugh and cry with joy to see how many happy endings there are. Many lucky kitties have been able to find wonderful homes thanks to people who have opened up their hearts for a rescued animal.

But did you know that only 80% of our rescues get adopted? Out of the hundreds of animals we take in, a handful get left behind in our sanctuary each year because they weren’t as cute as the other cats, had to compete with kittens half their age, or just didn’t have the vibrant personality that captured enough attention. We also have many rescued momma cats that have been left behind long after their kittens were adopted into loving homes. They break our hearts more than the others.

That’s why we wanted to build a special section on our website – dedicated to all the cats that year after year get passed over. Every rescue group has them. The old, the ugly, the funny looking ones or the really shy ones. We keep them no matter how full we are because we simply can’t allow them to suffer anymore. And we love them just the same.

 Panther (Black Manx) |
These special cats deserve recognition. Because they have enough love to fill the whole world. They still meow for love, they still rub up against your leg, they still beg for attention. They just may have a different way of showing it. At the end of the day every animal deserves a loving home. Meet a couple of our life-term kitties who are still up for adoption but more than likely will end up staying with us forever. They just wanted to say hello and remind you to please spay and neuter your pets. If you wish to visit or sponsor one of these wonderful kitties please contact us at info@animalrescueandcarenetwork.org
