Kitty of the Month
Black Jack's Story

Black Jack's fate is similar to millions of other cats. He was once loved and cared for as a little kitten, but as he grew older he just wasn't that cute anymore so he was put outside. Every day that went by, Black Jack tried to come back in but was constantly placed outdoors for one reason or another. Black Jack started liking it outside so he would run around and have fun like many cats do.

When volunteer Melissa saw Black Jack walking down a busy road close to being hit by a car, she scooped him up. Thank goodness! He is only about 8 months old, still a kitten with a full life ahead of him. He is the most loving, mellow cat, and beautiful and soft! He loves his tummy rubbed. Black Jack is very affectionate and would do well in any home. He would do well alone but also loves kittens, and can be adopted with some of his baby foster buddies. Please take a gamble and adopt Black Jack. We're looking for a loving forever indoor home where he will be safe from harm and loved forever.

Many people think outdoor kitties are happier kitties. Not true. Cats are hit by cars, exposed to kitty diseases, vulnerable to dog attacks, infested with fleas, and can get in terrible fights with other cats. The bottom-line is outdoor kitties can end up being very expensive kitties when you have to rush them to the vet. Outdoor kitties also have less than half the life span as indoor kitties. It's just not worth it.
