Meet Billi, our Bombay, India rescue. "Billi" is the word for cat in Hindi. It all started when we received an international phone call from one of our volunteers. "I found a kitten on the street covered with dirt, screaming and it's really tiny. What do I do!" We should let you know that Cathy is one of our dog rescue experts, so kitty cats were new to her. She quickly found out India doesn't sell pet food! So we ran down to UPS and $350 dollars later, Billi had a menu of yummy kitten food straight from California. Success! Not only did Billi survive and thrive, he has his own passport! Billi is now a US citizen and enjoys being spoiled, watching American TV, and being harassed by his feline friend, Katie, another cat Cathy has rescued. It doesn't matter if a furry friend barks or meows, love is a universal language shared by all creatures on this planet. We should all be lucky enough to have a loving, permanent home no matter where we come from. Welcome to America, Billi!
