Kitty: Taz (Formerly Sir Lancelot)

This story will tug at your heart. Taz was found badly injured in a farmhouse where he was almost killed by dogs. Thankfully, we were called and able to trap him immediately because he was starving and in pretty bad shape. We knew he had been socialized at some point but was badly abused. We were afraid nobody would want to adopt him. We were wrong. Candy walked into our adoption fair and instantly fell in love. She wasn't out to adopt a cat that day but something told her she had to save Taz. Candy already had a cat, Furby, who she rescued years ago. Taz and Furby hit some initial rough spots at first but they eventually became feline friends. A month after Taz came home, Furby got very sick and passed away. Candy was devasted and had only Taz to get her through her grief. Candy realized that she didn't save Taz, he saved her at the end. Only these two understand how special a bond can be between an animal and a human during times of grief. Thank you Taz, we had no idea when we rescued you how important you would be to Candy one day. We wish Furby lots of mousies and birdies over the rainbow bridge.
